MY APPROACH
I provide a confidential space for exploring what matters to you.
My approach is tailored to each individual's needs and our work will be agreed by us both.
Therapeutic mentoring offers elements of therapy, coaching and mentoring.
If we work together, we discuss what you want and agree what is possible. It may be short or medium term work. It could be a one-off session.
What to expect
Non-judgemental and attuned support
Collaborative goal setting
Present and future focused sessions
Flexibility in session frequency and duration
Who can benefit?
Those seeking a space to explore experience beyond just “getting through”.
You may have addressed personal issues in the past and feel reasonably robust on a day to day basis. (This doesn’t preclude you being side-swiped by a current or anticipated situation).
Our work could take shape in various different ways. For example:
-as a continuation of your personal learning journey.
-as space to address your needs at a particular life stage.
-to manage a transition.
- as reflective space to explore the meaning, purpose, and significance of your life and your relationships.
- to build mental and physical resilience and wellbeing.
- to live more realistically with challenging ‘givens’ of life including uncertainty, instability, loss, change, and death.
- to develop your authentic self, living more intentionally with your values. Maybe you want to develop new habits and disciplines?
The possibilities are endless …..except there will be an end!
Meeting frequency, length and cost
Meetings can be online or face to face. They will last for one hour (60 mins) and will be monthly or fortnightly by agreement. Sessions cost £75 for individuals and £95 for couples.
Is this right for you?
Therapeutic mentoring will not be suitable for those requiring immediate support or seeking weekly personal therapy. We will assess your needs during our first session, to ensure that this approach aligns with your goals.
My commitment
As your therapeutic mentor, I will be an anchor for your personal work.
Special Interests
Neurodiversity, and a particular interest in successful neurodiverse-neurotypical long-term relationships.
Existential perspectives and accepting the necessary tensions and polarities in life such as hope and despair, anxiety and calm, responsibilities and freedoms etc.
